Coopersville Polkton Fire Station

Coopersville, MI | 2019

The Coopersville-Polkton Township Fire Station is a partnership of two municipalities, created to combine two outdated fire stations into a brand new, state-of-the-art fire station serving both areas.

TAG was involved in master planning, including the site selection process. The property is large enough for a facility expansion, both in the apparatus bays and the office area.

The 14,800 square foot building was conceived of in two parts – the apparatus bays and the personnel area.  The apparatus bays are housed in a masonry building with glass overhead doors.  The personnel area is a contemporary mix of glass and brick.

Inside the building are locker rooms, offices, training facilities and a day room.  The Apparatus Bays have the latest exhaust removal systems as well as support spaces for maintaining equipment.
